Design Ideas Smaller Ivy, such as this one, are highly versatile because they can be used as a perennial foliage plant, vine or groundcover. Plant in containers, where it can spill off the edges in long tresses of green. It self clings to vertical surfaces from walls to fences, and makes a fine clipped espalier. Let it run on the ground and plant densely to block weeds and cover utility vaults, curbs, edges and foundations.
Flower Color Green
Foliage Color Green
Companion Plants Ninebark (Physocarpus); Juniper (Juniperus); Potentilla (Potentilla); Euonymus (Euonymus); Mock Orange (Philadelphus)
CARE
Care Grows well in average, well-draining soil. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Low water needs, once established. As a groundcover, space plants 5 ft. apart, (closer for faster coverage). Control weeds with mulch until the plants cover the area.
