Tiny TowerŪ Italian Cypress
Cupressus sempervirens 'Monshel' PP No. 12933

The perfect compact Italian cypress that retains its small size indefinitely. Exceptionally dense, blue-green foliage on a rigid, columnar form is a valuable architectural accent both in the summer and under winter snow. Perfect in containers and for small, high-profile city gardens. Requires no shearing but adapts well to topiary applications. Full sun. Very slow growth to just 8 feet tall and 2 feet wide in first decade, then 25 or 30 feet tall, and to 3 feet wide at maturity.

 | Small Italian cypress and their topiary forms make perfect porch or patio accents. Use a matched pair to flank door, gate, art, fountain or window. Line them up on steps in matching pots for a graduated effect. Plant as part of a perennial border as reoccurring living columns. A perfect central "finger" for a symmetrical herb garden. Line them up for the ideal background for a theatrical garden in a small city garden. |

 | For a pint sized Mediterranean garden of aromatic perennials, plant with Red Velvet Yarrow, (Achillea millefolium 'Red Velvet'), Lemon Leigh Spanish Lavender, (Lavandula stoechas 'Lemon Leigh'), Provance French Lavender, (Lavandula x intermedia 'Provence') and Huntington Carpet Rosemary, (Rosmarinus officinalis 'Huntington Carpet').
For a more formal effect combine with Red Knock Out Shrub Rose, (Rosa x 'Radrazz'), Flower Carpet Coral Groundcover Rose, (Rosa x 'Noala') and Avalanche Evergreen Clematis, (Clematis x cartmanii 'Blaaval'). |

 | Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced after establishment. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. |
