Monrovia is currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to support the function at our headquarters office in Azusa, California. This position is currently temporary through June 2010, but the opportunity exists that it could become a regular administrator position. Additionally, this opportunity does have the potential to eventually grow into an inside sales representative position for the right candidate.

Monrovia Growers is a leading supplier of ornamental shrubs and container plants to independent retail garden centers and horticultural distribution centers across the country. Founded in 1926 and headquartered in Azusa, CA, this privately owned business (www.monrovia.com) has developed an enviable reputation for sales and marketing sophistications and commitment to quality.

The Sales Administrator provides direct administrative support to multiple managers and will be responsible for data entry requirements in to JD Edwards, our enterprise resource planning system, as well as running desired reports as requested.

Candidates must possess outstanding organizational skills and be capable of managing several tasks at once. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and self-disciplined team player with the ability to learn quickly and constantly.

Basic Qualifications:

• A horticultural background and/or degree
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• 2+ years of administrative support
• Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Outstanding spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills
• Competency in typing, editing, and creating written correspondence such as forms, emails and letters
