Monrovia was founded in 1926 in the city of Monrovia, California, and moved east, 30 years later, to Azusa, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. For decades, this 545-acre property was the primary growing location, providing plants to all over North America. In 2004, after years of planning, we moved our California nursery from Southern California to the central region of the state. This allowed a more suitable growing climate for areas throughout the country, and room to expand our operations.
