At The Oregon Garden, you'll find more than 20 specialty gardens – from a pine- and spruce-scented Conifer garden to the Rediscovery Forest to a playful garden just for kids – located at this 80-acre haven. Other highlights include a 400-year-old oak tree and the Gordon House, the only house in Oregon designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
The Oregon Garden has an interesting history. Back in the '90s, when the city of Silverton needed to find a use for its reclaimed water and the Oregon Association of Nurserymen needed a reliable water source for its proposed garden, the two came together to form The Oregon Garden. The wetlands in the Garden now provide a natural filtration system for the city's recycled water.
