Design Ideas Though persistent winds bother some plants, Broadmoor takes them in stride. Plant as a filler in beds and borders, use in a single mass for erosion control or in poor soils. Unusual bright green plant spreads well enough to be treated as groundcover. Just high enough to create a windscreen for exposed patios and decks. Also a good choice on top of low retaining walls, where it will spread enough to engulf them
Foliage Color Green
Companion Plants Barberry (Berberis); Maiden Grass (Miscanthus); Clematis (Clematis); Russian Sage (Perovskia); Rose (Rosa); Catmint (Nepeta)
CARE
Care Adaptable and easy to grow in most well-drained soils; avoid overly wet conditions. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Space 5 ft. apart as groundcover; closer for faster coverage. Control weeds with mulch until plants fill in. Fertilize in early spring.
