This Arkansas Select winner 2004 is an improvement on its predecessor, the doublefile viburnum. The first doublefile was discovered by Robert Fortune in a garden near Shanghai and introduced it to the west in 1850. It was not known in the wild and has been considered a Chinese horticultural variety from the start.
