Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Silver Queen'
White, lacy new growth weeps slightly and matures to light green foliage with white speckling. A delicate textured, brilliant specimen that is especially showy when provided a green backdrop. This new variety is grown on a root stock that is resistant to Phytophthora lateralis - a disease that has caused the demise of many Chamaecyparis lawsonianas over the last two decades. The Guardian Series rootstock was developed by Oregon State University. We are utilizing this new rootstock on several varieties: 'Blue Surprise', 'Golden King', 'Silberstar', and 'Yvonne'.
