History
Tangelos are hybrids of grapefruit, 'C. paradisi, and the mandarin tangerine, C. reticulata. Minneola is specifically the offspring of 'Dancy' mandarin and the Florida grapefruit, 'Duncan'. This is the most commercially important tangelo in California agriculture although they are also grown in Florida.
