Find a Local Landscape Design Professional

Jul 27, 2011

AZUSA, Calif. (July 27, 2011) – Monrovia, the leading grower of premium garden plants, has introduced a new feature on its popular website, one that allows site visitors to find a design professional.  “We realize that a lot of people want to have a nice garden or stunning outdoor room, but don't know where to begin,” explained Katharine Rudnyk, plant expert at Monrovia.  “They find ideas and inspiration on our site and in gardening publications, but could use help translating that into a fantastic garden design. We wanted to facilitate that process.”

Monrovia recently invited members in good standing with the top design professional organizations to submit a profile online.  These groups include the US Green Building Council (USGBC), American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) design & build, Garden Centers of America (GCA) and American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) who practice in the U.S. and Canada.

Now, homeowners can search by zip code, narrow the search by expertise and specialty, and then browse through the mini portfolios to find a qualified designer near them. Each designer profile page feature photos, design styles, background details and links for more information.
