A showy new variety with large, fragrant bright red magnolia-like blooms. Take full advantage of the glossy foliage and sweet apple-like scent by planting near an entry or outdoor living space. Useful in shrub borders and native plant gardens. Deer resistant! Long-lasting flowers hold well in arrangements and are great for dried potpourri. Leaves, seed pods and bark have a spicy scent when crushed. Deciduous.
