Large, firm blue fruit in early to mid-season. Vigorous growth and high-yield; bears fruit earlier than 'Bluecrop'. Burgundy foliage in fall, deep red stems in winter. Flowers provide nectar for pollinators and branches provide shelter and nesting sites for birds. Works well as a border or hedge plant. Semi-evergreen.

Watering NeedsNeeds regular watering - weekly, or more often in extreme heat.

Provide rich, acidic, well-drained soil. Site away from harsh, prolonged afternoon sun in hot, dry summer areas to avoid leaf burn. Follow a schedule of deep waterings during the growing season to develop an extensive root system. Before new growth begins, prune off twiggy growth, leaving only main stems to prevent overbearing.
