Distinctive red flower buds open to showy clusters of rose cup-shaped flowers from mid to late spring. Attractive dark green foliage emerges burgundy in spring but remains dark green through the winter. Requires well drained highly acidic soil. Low maintenance shrub, and should only be pruned after flowering to stimulate new growth.
