  • History & Lore
    History:
Most species of Coreopsis both annual and perennial are native to the Americas and parts of Africa. Many of our contemporary varieties descend from C. grandiflora native to the south and southeast and C. lanceolata, which is linked to the threadleaf cultivars. This selection was introduced by Terra Nova Nurseries in Canby, Oregon. Parentage: Coreopsis 'Little Penny' P.P. 18,502 x Coreopsis 'Rum Punch' P.P. 18,889.
