OVERVIEW
Description Considered by many to be the best, deepest purple lavender on the market! Luxuriant, velvet-purple flower spikes rise above wonderfully compact foliage. This superior hybrid selection is perfectly sized for borders or containers, providing a long season of color and fragrance. Semi-evergreen.

CARE
Care Thrives in light, well-drained, alkaline soil with average to low fertility. Plant with crowns slightly above soil level. Provide regular water during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Apply a general purpose fertilizer in spring. Clip spent blooms. Trim occasionally to maintain a neat appearance.
HISTORY
Lore Stoechas lavenders were probably the first to be used for their oils. The Romans, Greeks and Arabs all recognized the plant's antiseptic, cleansing and medicinal properties. The oil is quite pungent and volatile containing between 24-72% camphor.
