HISTORY
Lore The sweet, fleshy fruit of Posoqueria is considered edible by some, and is often consumed by humans in its native rainforest regions. The rounded, two-inch fruits are more often a source of nutrition to wildlife, being an important staple of lion tamarins and spider monkeys in their native habitats, hence they are commonly referred to as "monkey apples".
