Strikingly deep burgundy blooms with metallic shimmer and blue beards. Flowers May to June. A rebloomer and vigorous grower. Plant forms a clump of green sword-shaped leaves. Requires well-drained, loamy soil. Fertilize in early spring, and again in late summer with an all purpose fertilizer. Plants should be divided every 2 to 3 years. Plant in full sun to partial shade. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
