Bennett's White Rock Rose

Cistus x 'Bennett's White'

A big, resilient rockrose that exhibits all the drought and heat tolerance of its Mediterranean ancestors. White crepe-paper-like flowers up to 4 inches wide with bright yellow stamens bloom early spring into early summer. Dark green aromatic foliage with gray-white accent underneath makes good contrast for white flowers and is an ideal moonlight plant. Grows in any soil, stands up to cold ocean winds and salt spray too. A vital large background shrub, filler or hedge material in dryland gardens. Evergreen. Full sun. Fast growth to 4 to 6 feet tall and as wide.
