Slightly smaller plants produce the same extravagant spikes of lavender blue flowers. Open and upright bushy habit bears fine, deeply serrated, light green aromatic foliage. Flowers very early in the season and will bloom again in late fall in mild climates. Perfect choice for mixing with dryland perennials and western natives in sunny rock gardens and well drained slopes. Soft coloring is also suited to more traditional perennial borders. Essential in wild or xeriscape compositions. Semi-woody perennial. Full sun. Moderate growing to 2 ft. tall and wide.
