Easily grown in average, well-drained soils. Tolerates mild drought in landscape, once established; water potted plants regularly, when top 2 in. of soil is dry. After a flowering flush, clip lightly and apply a slow-release fertilizer to promote continued prolific bloom. Where hardy, cut back by 1/3 and fertilize in early spring.
