Description A compact, easy-to-grow begonia that provides continuous summer bloom. Large single flowers in pinks, red, and white for high impact in borders, beds, containers, or hanging baskets. Performs best in dappled shade with humidity. A superb summer annual in cooler regions, but also a great winter annual in hot-summer regions with mild winters. Grown as a perennial in temperate regions.

HISTORY
Lore The Begonia family (Begoniaceae), named for 17th center French Canadian Michael Begon, is native to Brazil. Wax Begonias, a group of Begonia semperflorens hybrid cultivars, are thought to have originated from the B. cucullata var Hookeri and the B. schmidtiana species.
