This Plant's Availability
Burgundy Plum has medium-sized fruit with flesh that is deep red, mellow, and sweet covered with a reddish purple skin. An all around great Plum, good for fresh eating, cooking, drying and in jams and jellies. It is self-fertile, so no need for another tree, especially important if space is at a premium. Requires only 250 to 350 chill hours, making it an excellent choice for mild winter areas, yet it will take some cold. Ripens early July but fruit will keep well on the tree until mid-August.
