This new x guaranitica hybrid was developed by Salvia breeding specialist Kermit Carter, and was selected for improved attributes over similar varieties. In comparison to 'Black and Blue', this salvia exhibits: earlier blooming habit, tighter clumping form, and dark green foliage that does not tend to fade or become yellow. The U.S. Plant Patent was issued in April of 2018.
