Patent Act
Asexual reproduction of plants protected by the Plant Patent Act is prohibited during the life of the patent.
Thrives in average to very lean, well-drained soils. Benefits from light shade in very hot summer climates. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency, once established. Space 12 to 18 inches apart as groundcover; closer for faster fill. Fertilize sparingly.
History
From breeder Chris Hansen, who developed the Sunsparkler® series of succulents, this branch sport was discovered in 2014, as a tiny, two-leaf deviation on a tray of growing plugs of Sedum 'Lime Zinger'. It was noticed due to the remarkable, defined, cream colored edges on the leaves, notably different from the solid colored leaves of its parent. From the original sport, two mother plants were produced, and subsequent propagation and trials exhibited stable, consistent variegation. First introduced in 2015, U.S. Plant Patent #26,895 was issued in June, 2016.
