A superb dwarf groundcover with tufts of yellow-green, grass-like leaves. Slowly spreads by creeping rhizomes to form a golden mat of sweetly fragrant foliage. Grows well in wet areas and is excellent at stabilizing soil at pond and stream bed edges. A handsome addition to container arrangements. Semi-evergreen.
Thrives in average soils with consistent moisture, even boggy conditions and standing water. Shelter from harsh sun exposure in hot summer regions. Water regularly to maintain moisture levels; will not tolerate dry soils. For a neat appearance, remove old, faded foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
