History
Introduced in the Gardeners Confidence Collection®, Swan Princess™ ('4KIMYMJ01') is noteworthy for its prolific, early flowering, its dense, compact, and uniform growth, and its increased tolerance to root diseases. It was selected as a seedling resulting from an open pollination of female/seed parent 'Frostproof', and an unknown male/pollen parent that's original objective was to produce early-blooming, double-flowered, cold hardy gardenias with compact habits. Swan Princess™ was selected for its early and prolific flowering with a good rebloom, its compact, densely branched, dwarf form with dark green foliage, its cold hardiness, and a notable tolerance to drought stress, root diseases. Swan Princess™ is hardy to zone 6b.
