Dense enough to keep down weeds, it is a great solution for dark parts of the garden, where other herbaceous plants fear to tread.|

Thrives in rich, moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Prefers cool, shaded settings. Water regularly in first growing season to establish root system. Once established, prefers evenly moist soil, but tolerates light dry spells. Space 2 to 3 ft. apart as groundcover; closer for faster coverage. Control weeds with mulch until plants fill in.
