A very ornate, small, upright, deciduous tree with a spreading canopy, glossy green foliage, brilliant fall color, and a bounty of bright orange-red fall fruit that remains on bare branches for a stunning winter accent in landscape and garden. Astringent when firm, this variety is sweet and ready to eat when the flesh is jelly-like and can be scooped with a spoon. Self-pollinating.

WATER: Water when top 2 inches of soil is dry.
SIZE: Moderate growing; reaches 25 to 30 ft. tall, 12 to 16 ft. wide.

Oriental persimmon trees are typically grafted on to one of three rootstocks: common persimmon (D. virginiana), oriental persimmon species (D. kaki), or caucasian persimmon (D. lotus).
