|Description||Selected for upright somewhat columnar habit, nice reddish new growth in spring, and very dark attractive mature foliage, this evergreen shrub makes a fantastic hedge plant. Small white fragrant flowers are followed by fall berries that are loved by birds. A popular species for the Southeast.|

Reduce frequency once established. Can tolerate mild drought. Use a slow release fertilizer in spring. Appreciates afternoon shade in hot southern summers. Little pruning is needed. To shape, prune in spring by cutting 1/3 of the tallest stems to the base.|
