A unique dwarf Rose of Sharon with a refined, upright habit perfect for small gardens and containers. Dark green foliage backs the stunning summer flowers that last up to 3 days, compared to the day-long blooms typical of the species. The crisp white blooms punctuated by a bold maroon eye are less likely to produce viable, unwanted seedlings. Deciduous.

Set at the back or middle of the bed to combine with other flowering shrubs that blossom earlier in the season.
Adaptable to most well-drained soils except very wet or dry. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish root system. Once established reduce frequency; tolerates brief periods of drought. Fertilize before new growth begins in spring. Blooms on new wood; pruning is rarely needed but may be done in early spring to shape.
History
Lil' Kim® (H. syriacus 'Antong Two') is a hybrid developed by horticulturist Dr. Shim of South Korea, prized for its unique flower color on blooms that last longer than typical Hibiscus syriacus and noted for its compact, upright to outward free-branching habit.
