Description Spikes of icy buds open to violet-blue blooms throughout summer. The compact habit makes a fantastic container feature for a porch or patio and works just as well in annual mixed borders. Wonderful for cutting. Tender perennial; treat as an annual where not hardy.

Tolerates mild drought in a landscape; water potted plants regularly, when top 2 to 3 in. of soil is dry. Where hardy, cut back by one-third and fertilize in early spring.
