History
Bred by Jan Verschoor in Harlam, The Netherlands, within a breeding program with the objective of creating new Astilbe cultivars with attractive foliage and flower coloration. Parentage: A. arendsii as female parent crossed with A. japonica as male parent. Both were unnamed seedling selections. From the progeny, this selection was made in 2003, and reproduced asexually in a controlled enviroment. U.S. Plant Patent #19,847 was issued in March, 2009.
