This new variety is a selection out of a breeding line using Agastache rugosa as a parent to provide hardiness and wet soil tolerance. This seedling was selected in for its deep purple blue color and good habit. The exact parents are unknown.

This unique perennial is unlike any other Agastache, with extra large, extremely showy flower spikes of deep violet-blue. Winner of the "Too Good to Wait Performer" award at the 2013 Colorado State Perennial Trials.
