| History | This popular plant is of course a member of the Rosaceae family. The genus Rosa was classified by Linnaeus in the 18th century and today contains over one hundred species, all originating in the Northern Hemisphere. He chose the name after the ancient Latin word for the European species. From the wild species there have evolved thousands of hybrids and forms with many branches in the ancestral tree. This rose is the final product of a 35 year breeding program by Dr. Werner Noack of Noack Rosen, a German rose breeder famous for his commitment to disease resistant hybrids. Its parents are R. x 'Immensee' and the floribunda R. x 'Amanda' Noak started patenting his new roses and this was the first in 1990, released as Flower Carpet Pink PP. #7282. Practically maintenance-free yet extremely floriferous and vigorous plants can produce as many 1000 blooms per bush. |
| Lore | This rose is an award winner - three prestigious international gold awards, including one in the All-Deutsche Rose Trial (ADR), notable for its rigorous three-year performance test conducted with absolutely no spraying. |
