History This is a herbaceous, hybrid peony (parentage: Nippon Splendor x Good Cheer) which originated from Hollingsworth Peonies (seedling #1298), which first bloomed in 1979, described as a mid-season hybrid of medium height with upright stature and extra-divided wavy leaflets, abundant flowers of Japanese to bomb type, brick red in color with yellow-edged collar petalodes and pollen at petalode edges. Winner of American Peony Society Gold Medal (2007) and Award of Landscape Merit (2009).
