Care Grows easily in average, well-drained soils. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Remove spent blooms after flowering. Fertilize in early spring and prune up to 1/3 of growth to reshape and rejuvenate.
