Ideal with other acid-loving shrubs along foundations of the house or the base of a fence. Great background for virtually all perennials. Also works well to fill space beneath a large shade tree. A good backgrounder behind a smaller accent tree.

Companion Plants Plant with other elegant flowering shrubs for partial shade such as Penny Mac Hydrangea, (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Penny Mac'), Bette Sette Ice Angels Camellia, (Camellia japonica 'Bette Sette'), Cannon's Double Azalea, (Azalea x 'Cannon's Double'), and perennial Sunshine Selections Lenten Rose, (Helleborus x hybrida 'Sunshine Selections').
CARE
Care Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Provide well drained soil, rich in organic matter. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch.
