Description This North American native is one of the most cold hardy Agave species. Dark burgundy spines accent the attractive grey-green color of each leaf, which forms a large rosette of foliage. CARE
Care Thrives in lean, well-drained soils. Site away from reflected heat. In zones 5-6, avoid fall planting; best if established before first frost. Drought tolerant once established; looks best if watered periodically during the hot season. Once a mature rosette blooms, it will decline as new suckers below the rosette perpetuate the clump.
