Clumps of stunning pale green rosettes with creamy white stippling and fringed edges on a rugged succulent. Red-orange flower spikes appear summer through fall. Exceptionally heat and drought tolerant when established - ideal for dry borders, rock gardens, or containers. Suitable for indoor succulent collections. A frost-tender evergreen.
Grows easily in lean, loose, sandy or rocky, fast-draining soils; indoor plants are best in a cactus soil mix, or equal parts potting soil and sharp sand. Water regularly in first growing season to establish root system; drought tolerant once established, particularly in coastal regions. Avoid excess water during cooler months.
History
This selection is the first release of the Retro Succulents® series, a collection of rough and tough Aloes hybridized by well known Southern California succulent breeder Kelly Griffin, each having a unique rugged appearance and colorful personality.
