A tough, durable groundcover, perfect for challenging dry shade. Heart-shaped leaves emerge tinged with red, maturing to a glossy green. The clumping foliage slowly spreads by rhizomes. In spring, rosy-red and white flowers rise above the foliage on delicate stems. Foliage turns red in fall. Drought tolerant once established. An herbaceous perennial.
