An attractive hedge plant with silvery white margins on glossy green leaves that adds unique color and texture to the landscape. Can be grouped to form a low screen. Highly adaptable; tolerates poor, lean soils and heat. An excellent topiary specimen for the landscape or containers. Evergreen.

The berries are a valuable food source to birds, but all parts of this plant are poisonous to humans. Euonymus is commonly called Japanese spindle due to the use of its hardwood in making spindles for spinning wool.
