Woolly Thyme

Thymus pseudolanuginosus

A durable herb with aromatic leaves, perfect for filling between stepping stones or as a waterwise groundcover. Creates a low, lush mat of soft green foliage. Works nicely tucked into a container, allowed to trail over the edge. The small, showy, pink flowers attract butterflies. An herbaceous perennial.

Thrives in average to very lean, neutral to alkaline soils. As a groundcover, space 6 to 12 in. apart; closer for faster fill; control weeds until plants have filled in. Trim lightly, just after flowering. In early spring, prune back old foliage to one-half inch. Feed with an all-purpose fertilizer.
