Fall Brings a Blizzard of Colors to this Washington Garden

Even in the more temperate parts of the continental U.S., fall makes itself known. This remarkable garden is in Bremerton, Washington and it’s filled with easy-to-grow plants including Morning Light maiden grass, Rose Glow barberry, sour wood tree, larch, smoke tree, snowberry, beautyberry–you name a great plant for zones 7 – 9, and its probably here! sure would like to see at least an occasional article about plants that will do well in Vegas. Lots of thing will survive the fall/winter/spring but come summer summer sun and heat they all die.

In this time of changing climate, diminishing rainfall, hotter summers, dryer, warmer winters and increasingly expensive water imported from the East and North I would enjoy seeing more emphasis on Cacti and succulents. Theyre beautiful, durable, water storing plants that excell in the face of climatic adversity.
